Our Philosophy

FEEL

Observing the emptiness. Feel the air in the spaces, moving from higher to lower ceiling zones.
Play with the sense of space, absorb the dimensions and the volumes.
Consider the size, the open and the enclosed rooms.
Visualize the flow and the views inside and outside. Focus on the visual from the entrance to the back corridor.
Absorb the light. Asset the natural light entering and imagine artificial lighting for the house.

SEE

Highlight the proportions of the floor plan and each single room with its function and its placement in the house. Reconfigure the use of the space by adding or removing walls.
Plan on installing sliding or pocket doors to create eventual separation if necessary.
Elaborate the storage need, based on the necessity and the actual active use, make a functional use of the space.

As any room translates into the next, plan on using some of the same solid surfaces, such as tiles, stones, wood and glass in different rooms and in different ways to unify the effect.
Extend some of the surfaces and finishes to the outside and garden areas to relate the two spaces.

CREATE

Decorate the entire house with the same inspiration and find a focal point for each room, adding mirrors, wood or leather finishes on accent walls.
Create a paint palette of three color tones for the entire house, using chiaroscuro effect between the rooms. Unify the door style with consistent frames, color, shape and finishes.

Scale up or down the size of the furniture, investing in a custom-size/center-stage piece if necessary. Employ the same color range in curtains mixing the fabrics to enhance the contrast.
Embrace color accent in interesting pieces such as a rug, a chandelier, or pillows.

Drawing upon years of experience, the interior design of PDCasa creates cool and luminous rooms working with space, color and materials; devising a furniture plan that is flexible and that maintains simple consistency without boredom.

The founders believe that we can find personal style by becoming conscious of the things that bring us pleasure and shares the secrets of exploring the special journey and an unexpected thinking about life in the process of decorating a space.

Style starts with being able to see and appreciate our external and internal worlds and being able to bring them together in a given room. The key is to keep your eyes and senses open to the environment, in order to be inspired and to evaluate the light and the space of the project.

PDCasa takes on the path from conception to completion, evaluates the space and develops a plan that maximizes a room’s assets and creates a focal point.

PDCasa identifies and personalizes a palette of colors, incorporating natural light and artificial sources. PDCasa mixes different period furniture to maximize interest and accentuate self expression, mixing textures in fabrics and eclectic shapes.

PDCasa composes a plan of furniture pieces that flow from one room to  another and that can be easily rearranged to update the space and personalize the space with all the elements necessary to maximize interest and accentuate the decor by hanging art and pictures, dressing the beds and any other element that compliments its design philosophy.
